Abstract

Campus 3 UNPAB as an educational and academic environment has special needs related to a stable and sustainable electricity supply. Where the existence of an electric generator, or often referred to as a genset. Genset as an emergency power supply is an important part of ensuring the continuity of campus operations as a whole. A genset is a device that functions to generate electrical energy. Its working principle is based on the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy using electromagnetic principles. The main role of an electric generator is to provide a backup or emergency power source. When there is a power outage or disruption to the main power source, the genset can be activated automatically or manually to maintain power continuity in a place. Efforts to ensure optimal genset availability require a planned and regular management and maintenance strategy. Genset reliability analysis includes performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, and capacity increase according to campus needs.
